BIOGRAPHY
Council of One is the musical manifestation of guitarist Chris Oberst. Chris plays a unique style that veers between jazz, rock and avant garde. Although Chris has a background in rock-based instrumentals (think Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Eric Johnson), Council of One represents a turn towards improvisation-centered music that is amped up, edgy, and unconcerned with musical boundaries.
